A Photogrphic History of Exeter

A unique and irreplaceable visual record of twentieth century Exeter has been saved from destruction thanks to a major preservation project by the South West Heritage Trust, made possible with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Thanks to National Lottery players, the Isca Photographic Collection Project has safeguarded thousands of historic images that document the city and its residents throughout the twentieth century.

Running from 2025 to 2026, the project has ensured that this remarkable collection is conserved, digitised and accessible for future generations.

They carry out and support research; undertake practical work to benefit wildlife, heritage and people; and get involved with special projects.
